The Custom SoC team develops next-generation Xeon-based solutions tailored for server, AI, and data center applications. In this role, you will collaborate with leading customers on high-visibility programs that shape the future of computing. You’ll join a world-class engineering team leveraging advanced design methodologies and cutting-edge process technologies to deliver industry-defining products. Responsibilities include physical design implementation from RTL to GDS, covering synthesis, place and route, clock tree synthesis, static timing analysis, power/clock distribution, reliability, and power/noise analysis. You will also perform verification and signoff, analyze results, and optimize designs for power, frequency, and area.
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering, Computer Science or in a STEM related field of study with 5+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience in all aspects of physical design flow in SOC using Synopsys and cadence tools, or similar CAD tools.
- Technical Expertise in physical design verification methods including static timing analysis and formal verification.
Good to Have
- Experience in timing signoff, formal verification and low power static signoff.
- Experience in all aspects of clock distribution.
- Experience in deep submicron process technology nodes is strongly preferred.
- Technical Expertise in power delivery and power plane distributions, power estimation and optimization in SOC.
- Strong knowledge of industry standard tools for synthesis, place and route and tape out flows.

Job Description:
The Custom SoC team develops next-generation Xeon-based solutions tailored for server, AI, and data center applications. In this role, you will collaborate with leading customers on high-visibility programs that shape the future of computing. You’ll join a world-class engineering team leveraging advanced design methodologies and cutting-edge process technologies to deliver industry-defining products.
The role’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performs physical design implementation of custom IP and SoC designs from RTL to GDS to create a design database that is ready for manufacturing.
- Conducts all aspects of the physical design flow including synthesis, place and route, clock tree synthesis, floor planning, static timing analysis, power/clock distribution, reliability, and power and noise analysis.
- Conducts verification and signoff including formal equivalence verification, static timing analysis, reliability verification, static and dynamic power integrity, layout verification, electrical rule checking, and structural design checking.
- Analyzes results and makes recommendations to fix violations for current and future product architecture.
- Possesses expertise in various aspects of structural and physical design, including physical clock design, timing closure, coverage analysis, multiple power domain analysis, placing, routing, synthesis, and DFT using industry standard EDA tools.
- Optimizes design to improve product level parameters such as power, frequency, and area. Participates in the development and improvement of physical design methodologies and flow automation.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:
$139,710.00-262,680.00 USD
