Job Description

The Laboratory Technician ensures compliance with GMP regulations, corporate policies, and conformity standards during operations. Responsibilities include managing laboratory support activities such as maintaining inventory of standards and reagents, organizing the laboratory, ensuring equipment cleanliness, and other tasks to support the laboratory. The role involves processing orders, receiving reagents and supplies, and participating in document reconciliation, all while working in a team to meet deadlines with high quality.
Must have:
  • Perform activities related to ordering and receiving reagents, standards, and laboratory supplies for Quality Control.
  • Perform laboratory support tasks (e.g., inventory, cleaning, etc.).
  • Participate in the printing and reconciliation of controlled documents.
  • Work as a team to ensure tasks are completed within prescribed deadlines, while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Lift loads up to 40lbs (18kg).
Good to have:
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in the health, pharmaceutical (asset), food, or other fields.
  • Knowledge of laboratory operations.
  • Studies in Sciences (asset).

Job Details

Haleon is a manufacturing site for liquid, solid, and semi-solid health products, with complex regulatory factors, technical processes, and high-risk activities. Haleon is currently looking for a Laboratory Technician – 1-year Contract to join the Montreal (Saint-Laurent) team.

Job Objective:

The laboratory technician must ensure compliance with GMP regulations, corporate policies, and conformity standards during operations. He is responsible for laboratory support activities such as maintaining inventory of standards and reagents, organizing the laboratory, cleaning equipment, and any other task to support the laboratory.

Main Responsibilities:

This position will give you the opportunity to lead key activities to advance YOUR Technician career. These responsibilities include some of the following tasks:

  • Perform activities related to ordering and receiving reagents, standards, and laboratory supplies for Quality Control;
  • Perform laboratory support tasks (e.g., inventory, cleaning, etc.);
  • Participate in the printing and reconciliation of controlled documents;
  • Work as a team to ensure tasks are completed within prescribed deadlines, while maintaining a high level of quality;
  • Lift loads up to 40lbs (18kg).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills;
  • Priority management, good rigor, meticulous;
  • Good adaptability;
  • Leadership, positive attitude;
  • Likes to move;
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical processes;
  • Good computer skills (Proficiency in Office suite: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.);
  • Concern for health/safety in a laboratory environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in the health, pharmaceutical (asset), food, or other fields;
  • Knowledge of laboratory operations;
  • Studies in Sciences (asset).
