This Lead Full Stack Engineer role at TransUnion Consumer Interactive (TUCI) involves leading a team to build credit monitoring applications. Responsibilities include writing and maintaining customer-facing website code, reviewing code, troubleshooting front-end and back-end Java services, designing and implementing JUnit tests, and generating accurate implementation estimates. The role is hybrid, requiring a minimum of two days a week in the office.
Must have:
  • Experience writing customer facing websites/applications.
  • 7+ years of experience in application development.
  • Exposure to high availability, data driven applications.
  • Proficiency at Debugging using IDE.
  • Familiarity with the code review process and tools.
  • Familiarity with CMS systems.
  • Experience with using a tracking system for tasks/bugs.
  • Ability to work with source control repositories in a team environment.
  • Primarily focused on customer facing websites and the services that support them.
  • Writing code to adhere to product requirements/acceptance criteria.
  • Maintaining and reviewing code written by other developers.
  • Work on a team to achieve a project objective.
  • Be a voice in providing solutions to difficult problems.
  • Act as a mentor.
  • Troubleshoot code on the front end as well as the backend java services.
  • Using Splunk, Grafana, UNIX command line to read error log/db messages related to the applications under test to support defect investigation.
  • Write efficient and maintainable Java code based on technical guidelines, design documents, and industry best practices.
  • Review code for defects and quality against technical documents and standard practices.
  • Design and implement junit tests for software application modules.
  • Generate accurate implementation estimates based on technical documents, business requirements, and team member’s abilities.

  • Experience writing customer facing websites/applications.
  • 7+ years of experience in application development (HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, Java, and web APIs) with exposure to high availability, data driven applications.
  • Knowledge of Oracle db, Wildfly and/or Weblogic application servers.
  • Experience using Maven.
  • Proficiency at Debugging using IDE (preferred IntelliJ).
  • Familiarity with the code review process and tools, e.g. Code Collaborator, for code reviews.
  • Familiarity with CMS systems.
  • Experience with using a tracking system for tasks/bugs.
  • Ability to work with source control repositories in a team environment.

Impact You'll Make:

TransUnion Consumer Interactive (TUCI), a wholly owned subsidiary of TransUnion, is looking for a senior level Full Stack Engineer that can lead other team members. TUCI builds credit monitoring applications for consumers, like you. Typically these applications allow a consumer to view their credit report, credit score, receive credit alerts, lock their credit to prevent fraud, and simulate a credit score based on various parameters.

  • Primarily focused on customer facing websites and the services that support them; writing code to adhere to product requirements/acceptance criteria; maintaining and reviewing code written by other developers
  • Work on a team to achieve a project objective; be a voice in providing solutions to difficult problems; act as a mentor

Pay Scale Information:

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $150,000 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.

Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
