Must have:
  • Lead and manage observability platforms (Elastic, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
  • Ensure reliability and performance of observability platforms.
  • Develop and implement AI-driven observability solutions.
  • Identify and proactively resolve system anomalies, data-quality issues, and alert noise.
  • Act as a mentor for engineering teams, offering advanced troubleshooting.
  • Manage reliability, performance, and scaling of Elastic, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Operate observability solutions within Kubernetes and Azure environments.
  • Implement AI-driven monitoring solutions (anomaly detection, predictive alerting, forecasting).
  • Proactively identify and resolve system anomalies, data quality issues, and alert noise.
  • Guide teams in resolving complex operational issues.
Good to have:
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Elastic ML or Azure ML.
  • Advanced skills in time-series analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning.
  • Experience using Python, Azure ML, or Databricks for AI/ML.

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Lead and manage observability platforms (Elastic, Grafana, OpenTelemetry), ensuring reliability and performance.​
  • Develop and implement AI-driven observability solutions (anomaly detection, predictive alerts, forecasting).​
  • Identify and proactively resolve system anomalies, data-quality issues, and alert noise.​
  • Act as a mentor, offering advanced troubleshooting and operational guidance to engineering teams.

WHAT WE VALUE

This role is for a hands-on leader focused on platform reliability and innovation, particularly in applying AI/ML to enhance monitoring capabilities.

Professional & Technical Skills

  • Core Platform Management:
  • Extensive hands-on experience managing the reliability, performance, and scaling of Elastic, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of operating observability solutions within

Kubernetes and Azure environments.

  • AI/ML & Anomaly Detection (optional, nice to have):
  • Proven ability to implement AI-driven monitoring solutions, including anomaly detection, predictive alerting, and forecasting.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Elastic ML, or Azure ML.
  • Advanced skills in time-series analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning, using languages and platforms like Python, Azure ML, or Databricks.
  • Troubleshooting & Analysis:
  • Expertise in proactively identifying and resolving system anomalies, data quality issues, and alert noise to improve signal-to-noise ratio.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills to guide teams in resolving complex operational issues.

Soft Skills & Capabilities

  • Mentorship & Guidance: Ability to act as a mentor and technical escalation point, providing guidance and support to other engineers.
  • Problem-Solving: A proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving, with a focus on root cause analysis and prevention.
  • Innovation: A drive to explore and implement cutting-edge solutions that improve system intelligence and reduce manual toil.
  • Collaboration: Works effectively with various engineering teams to understand their needs and provide robust observability solutions.
