Job Description

Join SimCorp as a Senior Lead Software Engineer (Typescript) to innovate in FinTech. This role is crucial for the XMGR web application, which is central to SimCorp Dimension's SaaS transformation. You will lead a scrum team, focusing on design, development, deployment, and support, while ensuring engineering excellence and mentoring engineers. The role involves full development lifecycle participation, from user story review to automated testing and new functionality development, with a strong emphasis on quality and code excellence.
Good To Have:

Must Have:
  • Setting up and continuously improving engineering excellence
  • Translating product vision into technical plans and overseeing delivery

  • Applying talents to all stages of the development lifecycle (user stories, development, design, code reviews, automated test solutions)
  • Developing new functionalities
  • Ensuring quality, code excellence, and researching tools/frameworks
  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as Tech Lead/Architect
  • Extensive experience in client-side development with Angular framework
  • Proven hands-on experience with Node.js
  • Advanced knowledge of common CSS techniques and preprocessors
  • Adhering to best practices such as clean code, TDD, SOLID, and design patterns
  • Strong fundamentals in software testing tools, techniques, and methodologies
  • Proficient in Git and hands-on experience with cloud-based applications
  • Background in Agile methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound technical decisions

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

XMGR is a web application designed to handle configuration as a code approach for SimCorp Dimension, which is the essential element for its SaaS transformation.

You will be a part of the scrum team who'll take ownership of XMGR design and development, deployment, and support on this exciting journey filled with opportunities to work with new project, cutting-edge technologies, and exceptional professionals.

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Setting up engineering excellence inside your team and continuously improving it
  • Work closely with product owner and other stakeholders to translate the product vision into a technical plan guiding the architectural design and oversee its delivery
  • Support, coach and nurture engineers to cultivate a proficient, proactive and effective team
  • You will apply your talents to all stages of the development lifecycle, including review of user stories, development, design, code reviews, and setting up automated test solutions.
  • Development of new functionalities.
  • Taking care of quality, code excellence, research tools and frameworks to enable future innovations

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Most importantly, you can see yourself contributing and thriving in the position described above. How you gained the skills needed for doing that is less important. We expect you to be good at several of the following and be able to - and interested in - learning the rest

  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as Tech Lead/Architect.
  • Extensive experience in client-side development with Angular framework.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Node.js.
  • Advanced knowledge of the common CSS techniques and CSS preprocessors.
  • Adhering to best practices such as clean code, TDD, SOLID and design patterns.
  • Strong fundamentals in software testing tools, techniques and methodologies.
  • Proficient in Git and hands-on experience with cloud-based applications, complemented by a background in Agile methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions.

DESIRABLE
