This role is for a Principal Cloud Architect in IT Operations at SimCorp, focusing on shaping, designing, governing, and evolving cloud platforms, primarily Azure. Key responsibilities include defining Azure cloud architectures using CAF and Azure Well-Architected Framework, providing architectural guidance across various cloud domains, translating requirements into cloud-native designs, establishing architectural standards for new Managed Landing Zones, and supporting cloud modernization initiatives. The role requires strong Azure experience, collaboration skills, and an understanding of governance, security, and cost management.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
In this role, you will act as a key architectural authority in Group IT at SimCorp. You will help shape how cloud platforms are designed, governed, and evolved, ensuring that teams can build solutions that are secure, scalable, and aligned with both business needs and regulatory expectations.
Your responsibilities will include, among others:
- Defining and evolving Azure cloud architectures in line with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and the Azure Well-Architected Framework
- Partnering with engineering, security, and platform teams to provide architectural guidance across landing zones, networking, identity, security, and governance
- Translating business and technical requirements into pragmatic, cloud-native architectural designs
- Establishing and maintaining architectural standards, reference architectures, and design principles for new Managed Landing Zone concept that will be primary task to launch
- Supporting cloud modernization initiatives, including migrations, optimizations, and continuous improvement of existing platforms
WHAT WE VALUE

You are comfortable balancing architectural direction with practical execution and understand the importance of governance, security, and cost awareness in enterprise cloud platforms.

- Designing and operating enterprise-scale solutions in Microsoft Azure
- Applying the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Azure Well-Architected Framework in real-world scenarios
- Working with cloud governance, security, identity, networking, and cost management practices
- Collaborating with diverse stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, in a large organization
- Using modern cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and infrastructure-as-code as part of your architectural approach
