As a Lead Principal, Client Solutions in Business Services, you will coordinate client pipeline with on-boarding capacity, functionality, and business continuity. This involves handling Business Services sales prospects, collaborating with the global commercial leader, and assessing delivery requirements. Key responsibilities include managing the sales pipeline, participating in sales cases, assessing delivery from a client service request standpoint, identifying functionality gaps, ensuring commitment from Product Development and Professional Services, and coordinating on-boarding timelines. You will also coordinate Business Services opportunities across SaaS, PS, and PD to evaluate delivery requirements.
Must have:
  • Create a comprehensive overview of the sales pipeline.
  • Manage Business Services capacity in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Participate in all Business Services sales cases.
  • Provide advice and represent Business Services offerings in sales meetings.
  • Assess each sales case from a delivery standpoint.
  • Ensure understanding of client service requests with Service Delivery.
  • Identify functionality gaps between Business Services offerings and client requests.
  • Ensure commitment from Product Development and Professional Services for deliveries.
  • Coordinate on-boarding timelines with the on-boarding unit.
  • Coordinate Business Services opportunities between SaaS, PS, and PD.
  • 10-20+ years of experience in investment management operations.
  • In-depth understanding of Investment Book of Record (IBOR).
  • Understanding of operational business flow (trade life cycle, asset servicing, valuation, reconciliation).
  • Good understanding of different asset classes and instruments.
  • Good understanding of different operational models (insourced/outsourced).
  • Deep understanding of investment management solutions and business services models.
  • Experience in coordinating and managing complex projects.
  • Proficient ability to manage own tasks and drive initiatives.
  • In-depth knowledge in running and operating SimCorp Dimension.
  • Experience in assessing delivery capabilities and identifying functionality gaps.
  • Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive analytical and problem-solving skills.

Why this role is important for us

As a Lead Principal, Client Solutions within our Business Services, this role is important as you will be responsible for coordinating and aligning the client pipeline with on-boarding capacity, functionality, and business continuity. You will be involved in handling Business Services sales prospects by collaborating closely with the global commercial leader of Business Services, who will be responsible for overseeing all commercial functions as well as working closely with the onboarding team. You will be handling Business Services opportunities and assessing delivery requirements in relation to functionality, onboarding capacity, and business case.

What you will be responsible for

  • Sales Pipeline Management: Create a comprehensive overview of the sales pipeline and manage Business Services capacity in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Sales Participation: Participate in all Business Services sales cases alongside the sales team, providing advice and representing the Business Services offerings in sales meetings.
  • Delivery Assessment: Assess each sales case from a delivery standpoint, ensuring a thorough understanding of client service requests in collaboration with relevant stakeholders from the Service Delivery unit.
  • Functionality Gap Analysis: Identify functionality gaps between Business Services offerings and client requests.
  • Commitment Management: Ensure commitment from Product Development (PD) and Professional Services (PS) teams regarding deliveries and timelines to address identified functionality gaps.
  • On-boarding Coordination: Coordinate on-boarding timelines with the on-boarding unit to ensure smooth transitions for new clients.
  • Business Services Opportunities: Coordinate Business Services opportunities between SaaS, PS, and PD to assess delivery requirements in relation to functionality, on-boarding capacity, and business case.

What we value

  • 10-20+ years of experience being responsible for investment management operations within an life insurance company or within an asset manager.
  • In depth understanding of how to handle an Investment book or record, (IBOR), the underlying operational business flow (trade life cycle management, asset servicing, valuation and reconciliation).
  • Further, the candidate should have good understanding of the different asset classes and instruments typically used by asset managers/life insurance companies.
  • Have good understanding of different operational models (insourced/outsourced) within the asset management industry and be able to participate/advice clients on pros and cons for the different operating models
  • Deep understanding of investment management solutions and business services models.
  • Experience in coordinating and managing complex projects, particularly those involving multiple stakeholders and departments.
  • Proficient ability to manage one's own tasks and drive initiatives, while also effectively collaborating with sales, product development, professional services, and on-boarding teams.
  • Pre-condition (not just a beneficial add-on): In depth knowledge in running and operating SimCorp Dimension.
  • Experienced in assessing delivery capabilities, identifying functionality gaps, and developing solutions to meet client needs.
  • Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree is beneficial.
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the company in client-facing situations.
  • Extensive analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on assessing delivery capabilities and timelines.
