Job Description

This role is crucial for maintaining and developing CI/CD pipelines for SimCorp Dimension, focusing on Continuous Integration. The team ensures every code change is built, tested, and packaged into a reliable release candidate, enabling fast and stable software delivery. Responsibilities include overseeing pipeline development, ensuring robust CI practices, participating in Scrum events, refining features, maintaining code, conducting reviews, and evaluating emerging technologies to improve the platform.
Must have:
  • Collaboratively overseeing and taking primary responsibility for the development and maintenance of our CI/CD pipelines for SimCorp’s main product.
  • Ensuring robust CI practices: building, testing, and packaging every code change into a trusted release candidate.
  • Participating fully in Scrum events and playing a role in sprint planning and establishing goals.
  • Collaborating with the Product Owner and fellow engineers to refine and enhance new features.
  • Maintaining and improving the existing code base, including bug fixes and performance improvements.
  • Participating in code reviews and creating comprehensive test scenarios.
  • Continuously learning and sharing knowledge with your team and the wider platform community.
  • Designing and maintaining solutions that prioritize reliability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Evaluating emerging technologies and identifying opportunities to improve our platform.
  • Practical experience implementing and maintaining modern CI/CD solutions.
  • Extensive experience developing in Kotlin.
  • Deep knowledge of TeamCity.
  • Proficiency with the CakeBuild build automation system.
  • Significant expertise in Microsoft Azure, encompassing provisioning, deployment, and automation.
  • Direct experience with Azure configuration tools: ARM templates, Bicep, Az PowerShell, and Az CLI.
  • Broad understanding of IT infrastructure automation and best practices.
  • Deep knowledge of Azure Software, PowerShell scripting, and Azure-native services.
  • Effective communication and ability to collaborate, complemented by a commitment to service excellence.
  • English proficiency at C1 level (CEFR) – both written and verbal.
Good to have:
  • Experience with Azure Identity Management and access control security.
  • Understanding of Secure Software Development principles.
  • Familiarity with cloud monitoring, log analytics, and application insights.
  • Experience working with the Grafana/Prometheus monitoring stack.

Why is this role important to us?

The team you’ll be joining owns key parts of the CI/CD pipelines for our primary product, SimCorp Dimension, with a strong focus on the Continuous Integration (CI) stage. They ensure that every code change submitted to the system is properly built, tested, and packaged into a reliable release candidate. This release candidate is then passed on to downstream pipelines—owned by other teams—which manage broader testing and deployment to our customers. Your team plays a crucial role in enabling fast, stable, and scalable software delivery across the entire engineering organization

What You Will Be Responsible For
