TransUnion is seeking a part-time Legal Assistant for a hybrid role in São Paulo, Brazil. This position supports the Legal and Compliance departments, ensuring legality and conformity with Brazilian and international laws. Responsibilities include assisting with contract drafting, analysis, and review, managing contract workflows, supporting due diligence, preparing internal presentations and compliance policies, aiding in procedural monitoring, and assisting with corporate documents and reports for legal and compliance purposes. The role requires an intermediate level of English and a Law degree.
Good To Have:
  • Knowledge of Brazilian anti-corruption legislation and FCPA.
  • Knowledge of LGPD and Positive Registry.

About the area:

The Legal and Compliance departments support TransUnion's activities on several fronts, ensuring legality and conformity with Brazilian and international laws, and act strategically in business facing market and daily challenges. Among the activities, the Legal department acts in both consultative and contentious areas. Legal activities are broad and are closely related to the contracts that are part of a company's routine, such as contracts with suppliers, partners, and clients, ranging from their drafting to their signing and archiving, including observance of internal policies, approvals between areas, and conversations with Clients. The Legal department also assists TransUnion's internal areas in preparing opinions and reports, monitors audits, and periodically monitors external law firms for very specific demands.

  • Support in the drafting, analysis, and review of contracts in general, such as software license and service provision contracts, supply, confidentiality, termination agreements, and other types;
  • Monitoring of the entire contract flow;
  • Support in conducting due diligence and protocols;
  • Assistance in drafting and reviewing internal presentations and Compliance Policies and procedures;
  • Support in procedural monitoring, drafting simple and medium-complexity petitions;
  • Support in controlling and issuing powers of attorney and other corporate documents;
  • Support in preparing legal and compliance area reports for control, compliance, audit, and payment purposes.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
