Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist (XRT) is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, preparing and positioning patients, and ensuring radiation protection. This role involves assisting clinicians in diagnosing diseases and injuries, supporting the team with Medical Assistant duties, and maintaining clinic operations. Candidates need flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and some holidays. The position requires an Associate's degree or equivalent with 6 months to 1 year of related experience, along with specific certifications.
Must have:
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging
  • Practice radiation protection techniques
  • Prepare images for reading by Radiologist
  • Assist with Medical Assistant duties
  • Attend staff and departmental meetings
  • Complete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent
  • Six months to one year related experience
  • Current CRT certificate
  • Current CPR- BLS
  • Current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

The Radiologic Technologist (XRT) position is primarily responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist clinicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. You’ll help patients through the imaging process and work cross-functionally to support your team with other tasks that expand your knowledge and experience to keep our clinic running smoothly. We are looking for someone with availability and flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and some holidays.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging; explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff
  • Prepare images for reading by Radiologist
  • Assist with Medical Assistant duties to ensure optimal patient flow
  • Attend staff and departmental meetings
  • Complete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests
  • Proposes improvements to processes and workflows
  • Works autonomously within established procedures and practices.

ABOUT YOU

  • Has advanced and specialized expertise, typically developed through job-related training and considerable work experience. May act as a lead, coordinating and facilitating the work of others, but is not a supervisor
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years in healthcare leadership experience
  • Current CRT certificate
  • Current CPR- BLS
  • Licensure/Certifications: Current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or have an equivalent Radiologic Technology credentialing agency
