Kavaliro is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator II to support a client in Maryland. The essential responsibilities include providing Sr. level Linux System Administration support for the program with at least 15 years of Sr. Linux experience (Red Hat/Rocky/CentOS). Desired skills include Puppet, Ansible, FreeIPA, RedHat KVM, NetApp, Raybird Support, and experience with JIRA and Confluence. Scripting experience in Bash, Python, Perl, or JSON is also desired. A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or five years of additional SA experience may substitute for the degree. An Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level II baseline certification is required or willingness to obtain within 6 months. The position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph and is strictly onsite.

Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:

Candidate will be responsible for providing Sr. level Linux System Administration support for the program.
Sr. Linux (Red Hat/Rocky/CentOS) experience (15 years)

Desired:

Puppet, Ansible, FreeIPA, RedHat KVM, NetApp, Raybird Support, experience with JIRA, Confluence.
Any scripting experience (Bash, Python, Perl, JSON, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Five (5+) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Certifications:

An Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level II baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M is required or willingness & ability to obtain certification within 6 months of start on Program.
At least fifteen (15+) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required

Location:

Fort Meade, MD
This position is onsite and there is no remote availability.

Clearance Requirement:

Candidates must have an active TS/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph
