Job Description

Join Intel's Linux Kernel Validation team in Poland, supporting next-generation Client and Xeon CPUs. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn CPU utilization from the Linux perspective, work with Linux Kernel maintainers and the Open Source Community, and experience the future of compute before market release. Responsibilities include validating and debugging Linux Kernel via automated testing, writing validation procedures, analyzing results, and determining root causes of failures, all while adhering to test design best practices.

Must Have:
  • Basic knowledge of Linux Kernel (navigation, custom kernel building, open source community handling)
  • Basic "Devops" (setup, maintain, debug Client and Server machines via remote access)
  • Bash scripting
  • GIT
  • Openness to learn C test code creation
  • Good written English

Job Description:

You will be joining Linux Kernel Validation team located in Poland, working on supporting all next-generation CPU from Client side to Xeon products.

During this assignment you will learn how CPU’s are utilized and supported from Linux side and see what future of compute is before it hits the market.

Joining this team gives unique opportunity to work closely with Linux Kernel maintainers and Open Source Community.

Our Linux Validation Engineer:

  • Conducts validation and issue debugging of Linux Kernel via automation of testing scripts and running test pipelines.
  • Writes validation procedures, analyzes the results to ensure correct functionality and determines root causes of failures.
  • To achieve highest quality of validation and Intel products, follows test design best practices and regular reviews of content as part of daily activities.

Qualifications:

Needed qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of Linux Kernel - easy navigation on Kernel lvl, building custom Kernels, open source community handling.
  • Basic "Devops" - able to setup, maintain and debug Client and Server machines by remote access.
  • Bash scripting.
  • GIT.
  • Open to learn C test code creation.
  • Good written English.
