CloudLinux, a remote-first company, is seeking a Mail Systems Engineer for its Imunify Email team. This role focuses on developing high-performance tools for spam detection, email infrastructure protection, and scalable deliverability. Key responsibilities include monitoring bounce messages, feedback loops, and IP reputation, implementing and tuning email authentication protocols like SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, automating workflows with scripting, and building tools for deliverability monitoring, while collaborating with MTA engineers on policy alignment.
Must have:
  • Monitor bounce messages, FBLs, and IP reputation.
  • Implement and tune SPF, DKIM, DMARC.
  • Automate workflows using Python/Perl/Bash.
  • Build tools for deliverability monitoring.
  • Collaborate with MTA engineers on policy alignment.
  • Strong knowledge of SMTP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, FBLs.
  • Proven deliverability and reputation management experience.
  • Proficiency in Linux systems.
  • Upper-intermediate+ English communication skills.
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with Postfix/Exim configurations.
  • Docker/cloud exposure.
  • Knowledge of C programming language.
  • Experience with scripting (Python/Perl/Bash).
  • Experience with monitoring/logging systems.

You will join the Imunify Email team - the creators of a smart, automated email protection system designed to ensure clean outbound traffic and preserve IP reputation for hosting providers. Our focus is on building high-performance tools for spam detection, email infrastructure protection, and scalable deliverability.

As our Mail Systems Engineer, you will:

  • Monitor bounce messages, feedback loops (FBLs), IP reputation.
  • Implement/tune SPF, DKIM, DMARC.
  • Automate workflows with Python/Perl/Bash.
  • Build tools for deliverability monitoring.
  • Work with MTA engineers on policy alignment.

  • Strong knowledge of SMTP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, FBLs.
  • Proven deliverability & reputation management experience.
  • Linux systems proficiency.
  • Upper-intermediate+ English.

Nice to Have:
