This role is for a Mainframe Developer in the AssetLink team in Singapore, focusing on creating quick, reliable, and robust mainframe applications within an agile environment. The AssetLink team provides standardized solutions for niche clients, delivering SWIFT-based data feeds for portfolio management, including transactions and positions. Key responsibilities involve analyzing, designing, and implementing solutions through the software development life cycle, collaborating with colleagues, and ensuring high-quality technology solutions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about excellence, agility, learning, and integrity, capable of contributing to complex tasks and accurately responding to production issues.

Good To Have:

Good understanding of Agile-based execution processes
Proven skills in performance tuning and quality improvements
Good communication skills
Prior financial/banking experience
Know-how about electronic client reporting (SWIFT/ISO20022)

Must Have:

6+ years of experience in mainframe solutions development, design, and integration
3+ years working in the financial services industry
Proficiency in Cobol, JCL, Db2, Changeman, Expeditor, IBM developer(IDZ), Tivoli workload scheduler (TWS)
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Experience in automated/manual testing methodologies with a focus on functional and integration testing
Experience with implementing CI/CD for mainframe and GitLab facilitated software delivery
Understanding of webservices (SOAP/REST) and supported data structures such as XML, JSON
Ability to apply well-defined and disciplined development, implementation, and production processes
Knowledge of agile development and tools like JIRA/Confluence

You will be working in AssetLink team in Singapore, co-located with few team members and stakeholders in Zurich, Switzerland. AssetLink provides standardized solution for niche clients to provide data feeds for portfolio management. It is leading output solution providing SWIFT based feeds for transactions and positions information.

Responsibilities

Analyze, design, and implement solutions based on a well-defined software development life cycle
Participate in various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for IT Projects
Be a strong team player, collaborate with colleagues and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
Deliver high quality technology solutions
Ability to contribute to complex task and respond to production issues accurately
Be passionate about what you do; you value excellence, agility, learning and integrity

Skills

Must have

6+ years of experience of development, design and integration of mainframe solutions end to end and 3+ years working in the financial services industry.
Proficient in Cobol, JCL, Db2, Changeman, Expeditor, IBM developer(IDZ), Tivoli workload scheduler (TWS),
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability to be able to get things done swiftly and independently.
Experience in automated/manual testing methodologies with a focus on functional and integration testing.
Experienced with implementing CI/CD for mainframe and GitLab facilitated software delivery.
Understanding in webservices (SOAP/REST) and supported data structures such as XML, JSON.
Applies well-defined and disciplined development, implementation, and production processes.
