As a Maintenance Supervisor, reporting to the Plant Operations Director, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities of employees engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment. RFPC is focused on process-controlled manufacturing. The Maintenance supervisor will be responsible for enhancing the TPM program while overseeing maintenance operations, focusing on efficiency and waste reduction.
Must have:
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies that align with lean principles
  • Lead a team of maintenance technicians and contractors, providing training and support
  • Monitor equipment performance and reliability to minimize downtime
  • Create / enhance PM program to include CBM as well as preventative tasks based on success of equipment and failures history
  • Work with the engineering and MIT team to eliminate repeated and frequent failures
  • Manage maintenance database system and ensure work orders are documented
  • Increase knowledge of technicians to maintain automation assets being introduced to processes
  • Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure maintenance schedules do not disrupt operations
  • Manage maintenance budgets and resources effectively
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards

Who will you be working with?

The Friction Product Line designs and manufactures high-friction and low-friction composition, sintered brake shoes, specialty shoes, and disc brake linings for freight, locomotive and transit vehicles.

How will you make a difference?

Reporting to the Plant Operations Director, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities of employees engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment. RFPC is focused on process-controlled manufacturing. The Maintenance supervisor will be responsible for enhancing the TPM program while overseeing maintenance operations, focusing on efficiency and waste reduction.

What do we want to know about you?

  • High School Diploma / GED Required
  • 2-year Mechanical, Electrical Degree or related Industrial Degree (preferred)
  • 3 -5 years' experience in high-speed production manufacturing facility
  • Exposure and understanding of environmental issues
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, Allen Bradley and/or previous PLC experience is required
  • Strong Interpersonal, Communication and Interaction Skills
  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills
  • Good team building dynamics
  • Good computer skills with Microsoft Applications knowledge
  • Must be hands on in all maintenance elements
  • Proficiently with AutoCAD (a plus)
  • Must have the ability to plan and organize
  • Must have ability to work well with people at all levels.
  • Must be proficient in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Maintenance programs.
  • Ability to make presentations to direct reports.
  • Experience in LEAN principles and practices, including CI methodologies or engineering roles with a focus on lean methodologies
