Job Description

Sika is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth and safe operation of its facility. The role involves performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and operating various tools. The technician will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, ensuring safety compliance, and contributing to the timely production of high-quality products. Ideal candidates possess strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and a commitment to efficiency.
Must have:
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Operate tools such as welding equipment, cutting torches, and power tools.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete required paperwork on time.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Conduct monthly/quarterly Safety and EHS inspections.
  • Follow all safety and environmental policies and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Identify and report safety concerns or unsafe conditions.
  • 3–5 years of maintenance experience (manufacturing or industrial environment preferred).
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with single and three-phase industrial electricity.
  • Experience with machine repair.
  • Experience with arc welding and torch cutting.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions.
  • Commitment to safety and strong housekeeping habits.
Good to have:
  • Technical degree or certification.
  • Experience with automation systems.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Job Description

We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our facility running smoothly and safely. In this role, you'll perform maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and help ensure we produce high-quality products on time. If you have mechanical and electrical know-how, enjoy solving problems, and take pride in keeping things running efficiently, we’d love to meet you!

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment and facility systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues
  • Operate tools such as welding equipment, cutting torches, and power tools
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete required paperwork on time
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
  • Conduct monthly/quarterly Safety and EHS inspections
  • Follow all safety and environmental policies and wear appropriate PPE
  • Identify and report safety concerns or unsafe conditions
  • Work independently or as part of a team depending on project needs
  • Assist contractors and collaborate on maintenance projects

Qualifications

  • Technical degree or certification preferred (but not required)
  • 3–5 years of maintenance experience (manufacturing or industrial environment preferred)
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with:
  • Single and three-phase industrial electricity
  • Machine repair
  • Arc welding and torch cutting
  • Automation systems (a plus)
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions
  • Commitment to safety and strong housekeeping habits
