Salesforce, the #1 AI CRM, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager for its Global Controllership team. This role involves assisting in the monthly worldwide accounting close and financial consolidation, ensuring SOX compliance, and collaborating with various finance and business operations teams. The manager will drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, leverage advanced analytics, and champion AI-powered automation to enhance efficiency across the Controllership and Finance organization.
Good To Have:
  • MBA, CPA or advanced degree.
  • Technology industry and Big 4 experience.
  • Experience with Workday Financials, Salesforce, and Tableau.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Must Have:

  • Responsible for SOX compliance activities within related areas, including completing key controls, updating SOX documentation, and supporting testing efforts.
  • Work with teams within the Controller’s Organization as well as cross-functionally with FP&A, IT, SEC Reporting, Treasury, International Accounting and Tax.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of reporting processes, leveraging advanced analytics tools to provide deeper insights into financial performance and support strategic decision making.
  • Champion the use of AI-powered automation and intelligent agents to streamline processes and improve efficiency across the Controllership and Finance organization.
  • Review supporting schedules for the 10Q and 10K reports along with supporting the SEC team on reviewing the reporting packages.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting experience.
  • Understanding of SOX and Compliance frameworks for publicly traded companies.
  • Deep expertise in financial systems, analytics and technology.
  • Experience applying AI tools to improve/automate processes.

The Global Controllership team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager to join our team. In this role you will be working in a fast-paced, non-traditional environment while building relationships within the accounting team and the larger business operations organization (e.g. FP&A, Treasury, Tax, SEC Reporting, IT, Compliance, International Accounting, etc.). You will help lead the Global Close process and collaborate closely with stakeholders to lead strategic initiatives. In addition, this role is instrumental in SOX compliance, interacting with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. This position requires a critical thinker with a focus on implementing process improvements to streamline and scale Salesforce’s processes for growth.

Responsibilities:

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience. MBA, CPA or advanced degree is a plus. Experience will be evaluated based on the Core Competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.).
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting experience, technology industry and Big 4 experience a plus.
  • Understanding of SOX and Compliance frameworks for publicly traded companies.
  • Deep expertise in financial systems, analytics and technology. Experience with Workday Financials, Salesforce, and Tableau is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Experience applying AI tools to improve/automate processes.

This role is hybrid and goes into the office 3 days per week.
