Senior / Staff Specialist - Accounting

This role is for a results-driven Accountant responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial information for assigned entities in the AP region, adhering to accounting guidelines, policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements. Key tasks include monthly financial reviews, insightful analysis, and presenting financial positions to management. The specialist will also handle group and local statutory financial reporting, audit matters, and interface with internal stakeholders and Shared Services. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of accounting experience, be familiar with IFRS, proficient in Excel, and skilled in data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI, with a collaborative and independent work ethic.

Must Have

• Possess a Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.

• Be proficient in Excel and data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI.

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Monthly review of the financial information of the entities assigned and provide insightful analysis and identify key drivers to the financial performance.
• Drive presentation to management on the financial position of the entities assigned.
• Responsible for group and local statutory financial reporting; and handling audit matters
• Key person interfacing with internal business stakeholders and providing guidance on accounting guidelines and procedures.
• Key person interfacing with Shared Services on accounting closing matters.
• Assist to setup process, internal controls, reporting improvements and efficiency initiatives, leveraging technology and automation tools where possible.
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects for various business needs.

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
• 1 to 3 years of accounting experience; familiar with IFRS accounting guidelines
• Analytical, meticulous with strong communication skills and strong team player with a collaborative mindset
• Able to work independently, positive attitude and willingness to take initiatives as well as ownership.
• Proficient in Excel, technology savvy and experience with data visualisation tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• SAP knowledge is an advantage.
