Job Summary

The Senior Engineer Product Engineering is responsible for the complete lifecycle success of assigned products, from initial development and ramp-up through ongoing support. This involves acting as a crucial link to R&D for product improvements, ensuring new designs are highly manufacturable, and optimizing the production ramp-up to meet yield, quality, cost, and delivery targets. The role also includes leading cost reduction initiatives, enhancing manufacturing processes, and developing data automation tools for performance analysis and troubleshooting.

Must Have

  • Serve as the key owner of the product(s) under responsibility
  • Act as the primary feedback loop to the product development team for new or existing products
  • Collaborate closely with R&D teams on design-to-manufacturing handoffs
  • Manage and optimize the product ramp-up process
  • Be heavily involved in production ramp-up validation (FMEAs, PPAPs, reliability tests)
  • Monitor yields throughout the product lifecycle
  • Lead and execute cost improvement projects
  • Optimize techniques to drive yield improvements throughout FE and BE manufacturing areas
  • Identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement in Lot On Hold (LOH) cycle times
  • Develop, maintain, and improve data automation tools for analysis
  • Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics Engineering or Semiconductor Technology related field
  • More than 2 years working experience in Semiconductor Product Engineering and/or Device Testing

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Serve as the key owner of the product(s) under their responsibility, taking charge of its end-to-end success from development to ramp-up and support throughout its lifecycle
  • Act as the primary feedback loop to the product development team for new or existing products. Use learnings from manufacturing, characterization, testing, and field applications to improve product performance and facilitate robust design optimizations
  • Collaborate closely with R&D teams on design-to-manufacturing handoffs, ensuring new designs are manufacturable with high initial yields. Provide critical input cycles of product development based on real production and market data
  • Manage and optimize the product ramp-up process by ensuring that product parameters such as yield, Cp/Cpk (process capability), quality, cost, and delivery timelines meet internal and customer requirements
  • Be heavily involved in production ramp-up validation, including (FMEAs, PPAPs, reliability tests), ensuring compliance with customer and product standards before release to mass production
  • Monitor yields throughout the product lifecycle, particularly during ramp-up. Use statistical analysis and debugging tools to troubleshoot issues, identify trends, and eliminate root causes of yield loss
  • Lead and execute cost improvement projects, including material or substrate cost reductions, process optimization, and metrology enhancements
  • Optimization techniques to drive yield improvements throughout FE (Front-End) and BE (Back-End) manufacturing areas
  • Identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement in Lot On Hold (LOH) cycle times
  • Develop, maintain, and improve data automation tools for the analysis of yield, electrical performance, and production parameters

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

  • Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics Engineering or Semiconductor Technology related field
  • More than 2 years working experience in Semiconductor Product Engineering and/or Device Testing
