Must Have
- Support & maintain accurate financial records through accounting for transactions and periodic adjustments.
- Understand trade receivables, payables, withholding taxes, and related cash flows.
- Ensure appropriate logs are maintained, aging is performed, and cashflows are organized.
- Assist in the design and execution of control-based reconciliations across accounts.
- Ensure timely resolution of discrepancies and maintain control accounts for accurate financial reporting.
- Support in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Assist in statutory audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting frameworks.
- Contribute to the development of accounting procedures, internal controls, and best practices.
- Collaborate with peers and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting or finance-related experience.
- Solid knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS).
- Strong skills in reconciliations and financial control processes.
- Understanding of withholding taxes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.

The role involves preparation of books of accounts, development of control-based reconciliations, management of working capital accounting, and maintenance of control accounts. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to work in a structured control environment.
- Books Preparation: Support & maintain accurate financial records through accounting for transactions, related periodic adjustments emanating from monthly schedule of accruals and booking thereon
- Working Capital Accounting: an understanding of trade receivables, payables, withholding taxes and related cash flows to ensure that appropriate logs are maintained, aging is performed and cashflows are organized
- Reconciliations: Assist in the design and execution of control-based reconciliations across accounts, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies. This includes control accounts maintenance to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
- Financial Reporting: Support in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Compliance & Audit: Assist in statutory audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant accounting frameworks.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the development of accounting procedures, internal controls, and best practices.
- Team Support: Collaborate with peers and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Requirements
- Education: CA Inter or ACCA qualified (minimum).
- Experience: At least 3 years of accounting or finance-related experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Solid knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS).
- Strong skills in reconciliations and financial control processes.
- Understanding of withholding taxes.
- Proficiency in MS Exce
