Job Description

The FP&A Manager for India COE at Palo Alto Networks oversees financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis for GTM teams. This role involves collaborating with global stakeholders, engaging with the COE team, and delivering accurate financial insights. The manager is also crucial in driving process standardization and automation within the COE, ensuring compliance, and providing actionable recommendations to senior management.

  • Handle ad-hoc financial analysis and strategic projects.
  • Communicate effectively with team and business partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 9+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis or related roles.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of automation tools and process improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations, including Indian GAAP, IFRS, and SOX compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Effective leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with global teams.
  • High adaptability to dynamic business environments.
Good to have:
  • CA, MBA, CPA, or CFA is a plus.
  • Experience in a COE or shared services environment is preferred.

Your Career

The FP&A Manager for India COE is responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis for the various team withing the GTM organization. The role involves collaborating with global stakeholders, engaging with the COE team and ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial insights. The FP&A Manager also plays a key role in driving process standardization and automation within the COE.

Your Impact

  • Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for GTM teams supported by the India COE.

  • Manage the preparation and delivery of accurate financial reports and dashboards.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Provide and present meaningful, concise and clear analysis to senior management on financial challenges and performances
  • Partner with global finance teams to provide actionable insights that drive business performance.
  • Drive process improvements and standardization initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate reporting standards and local regulations.
  • Being the SME and mentoring the COE team members, with a heavy emphasis around training the team on standard FP&A principles and operating procedures
  • Proactively

look at standardization and Automation opportunities across the different Product Lines and Regions

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and tools.

Qualifications

Your Experience

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • CA, MBA , CPA, or CFA is a plus.

Experience:

  • 9+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis or related roles.
  • Experience in a COE or shared services environment is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage global stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of automation tools and process improvement methodologies.
