The Manager of Live Operations at Scopely will oversee the execution and troubleshooting of live operations for the Stumble Guys team. This role involves leading a team of five LiveOps Managers to ensure engaging and high-performing live events. Responsibilities include planning, executing, and optimizing in-game events, managing the LiveOps calendar, resolving real-time issues, analyzing performance data, refining workflows, and coordinating with various teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in live operations, strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a player-centric mindset. The Manager will also be responsible for innovation and experimentation to enhance the player experience.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Manager, Live Operations to oversee the execution and troubleshooting of live operations for Stumble Guys. This individual will lead a team of five LiveOps Managers, ensuring smooth, engaging, and high-performing live events and operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing live operations for free-to-play multiplayer games.

What you will do: 

  • Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and guide a team of five LiveOps Managers, ensuring a high standard of execution and fostering professional growth.

  • Live Operations Execution: Support the planning and oversee the execution, and optimization of in-game events, seasonal content, and time-limited offers.

  • Operational Calendar Management: Maintain and manage the LiveOps calendar, ensuring timely execution of updates, events, and promotions.

  • Real-Time Issue Management: Monitor live events, identify issues, and lead rapid troubleshooting efforts to minimize downtime and player disruptions.

  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Analyze event performance data, player engagement trends, and revenue impact to continuously improve LiveOps execution.

  • Process Optimization: Develop and refine LiveOps workflows to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance response times.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data insights to refine event strategies, improve retention, and drive monetization

  • Cross-Team Coordination: Work closely with Marketing, Community, Product, Game Economy, Analytics, and Engineering to align LiveOps execution with broader game objectives.

  • Innovation & Experimentation: Identify opportunities for new event formats, engagement tactics, and LiveOps innovations to enhance the player experience.

What you will need:

  • Experience: 5+ years in LiveOps, game operations, or related roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial position.

  • LiveOps Expertise: Strong background in executing and optimizing live events, seasonal content, and time-limited in-game promotions.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to improve LiveOps outcomes.

  • Problem-Solving Mentality: Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve issues in a fast-paced, live service environment.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with Marketing, Product, Analytics, and Engineering to execute live events seamlessly.

  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Player-Centric Mindset: Deep understanding of player behaviors and motivations in free-to-play multiplayer games.
