Scopely is seeking a Senior Director / Director of Product, Live Operations for Star Trek Fleet Command. This role involves owning the long-term strategic planning for the game's LiveOps, ensuring alignment with strategic vision and tactical execution. The director will be accountable for business performance, delivering game KPIs, and driving sustainable growth. Key responsibilities include setting team-wide KPIs, leading engagement and monetization for major releases, monitoring product ecosystem health, and continuously iterating on game features based on data and experimentation. The role also involves building and mentoring a high-performing team and establishing institutional knowledge.

Star Trek Fleet Command's ongoing success goes from strength to strength. Our in-house developed 4X MMO was launched in 2018 and continues to evolve, being consistently one of the top 10 gross revenue Massive Multiplayer Strategy games on the market.
What You Will Do
You will own the long-view strategic planning across the game’s LiveOps, ensuring alignment between strategic vision and tactical execution. Key responsibilities include:
- Own the business performance of the Live Ops function, accountable for delivering game KPIs and guiding decisions which drive sustainable growth.
- Set and align team-wide KPIs and tactical plans, ensuring measurable objectives are in place and tied directly to business goals.
- Lead engagement and monetisation for major content and feature releases, coordinating across disciplines to ensure smooth, high-impact launches which hit KPI targets.
- Monitor the health of the product ecosystem, using insights to proactively identify opportunities and risks, and implement impactful initiatives.
- Continuously apply learnings from data and experimentation to iterate on game features and systems, integrating best practices into the Live Ops roadmap.
- Identify and create process improvements to support rapid iteration
- Partner with production, engineering and QA teams to roadmap, develop, manage and optimise Live Ops systems and tooling.
- Build a high-performing team, mentoring product managers and operational staff, scaling team capabilities, and fostering a culture of ownership and excellence.
- Establish institutional knowledge through clear documentation of experiments, retrospectives, and playbooks to ensure consistent learning and improvement.
