Job Description

As a Material Resource Planning Controller (MRPC) - Make, you will manage a portfolio of parts, resolve exception messages, and create credible plans using the commitment acceptance process. This role focuses on material management, tracking and expediting raw materials, and communicating completion dates to internal and external customers. You will review customer demand, control material flow on the shop floor to meet needs, and ensure material shortages and delivery performance are understood, communicated, and recovered in SAP.
Must have:
  • Accountability for a portfolio of parts
  • Resolving exception messages
  • Putting in place credible plans underpinned with commitment acceptance process
  • Tracking and expediting raw material
  • Communicating completion dates with all customers (internal and external)
  • Reviewing customer demand
  • Controlling the flow of material on the shop floor
  • Ensuring shortages in material and delivery performance are understood and communicated
  • Putting appropriate recovery plans in SAP
  • Responsible for ERP compliance and data integrity of materials
  • Understanding the principles of load and capacity planning
  • Reporting responsibility for some aspect of the MRPC role
  • Able to chair ERP Compliance sessions with team members
  • Broad based business knowledge and experience
  • Key user for a specific MRPC process, e.g. inventory
  • Articulate in non-technical speak the implications and risks of particular actions
  • Associate degree with 4+ years of experience in Material Planning, OR Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years, OR 6+ years without a degree
  • U.S. Citizen

Job Title: Material Resource Planning Controller (MRPC) - Make

Working Pattern: Full time 9/80 work schedule

Working Location: Indianapolis, IN

As an Material Resource Planning Controller (MRPC) – Make, you will have accountability for a portfolio of parts, resolving exception messages and putting in place credible plans underpinned with the commitment acceptance process. There are 4 Ms in manufacturing (Material, Method, Manpower, Machines) and this role is responsible for Material. You will track and work to expedite raw material and will communicate completion dates with all customers (internal and external). This role is responsible for reviewing our customer demand and controlling the flow of material one the shop floor in order to meet customer needs. You will ensure shortages in material and delivery performance are understood and communicated with appropriate recovery plans put in SAP.

Basic Requirements:

  • Associate degree with 4+ years of experience in Material Planning, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in Material Planning, OR
  • Master’s degree, OR
  • JD/PhD, OR
  • In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of experience in Material Planning
  • In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

  • Work independently within a defined boundary and able to train others and act as a key user within the team to help resolve issues
  • Sound and comprehensive communication skills, exchanging complicated information and influencing others to achieve results. Coaches junior members of the team
  • Communicate and operate at different levels of the organization, tailor style to the audience
  • Cross-functional working, integrated member of the team of three
