Job Summary
The Mid-Level Software Engineer will join the Forward Deployed Engineering team, focusing on ensuring success for public safety customers. This role involves solving complex customer problems through replication, hands-on troubleshooting, root cause analysis of software and systems, and developing software solutions. The engineer will collaborate with customers, support, and the broader engineering team to enhance the PremierOne CAD and Mobile product's functionality and performance.
Must Have
- BS in Computer Science (or related technical equivalent) and 3+ years of software development experience
- Advanced English
Good to Have
- Proficiency developing C#/.NET applications in Visual Studio
- Strong understanding of Object Oriented software design, Client-server and Service Oriented Architectures
- Experience developing applications utilizing Microsoft SQL Server database(s)
- Experience writing SQL stored procedures and performing query optimization
- Experience with UI programming in C#/.NET
- Strong debugging skills, including an ability to analyze memory dumps
- Experience developing with Windows Services, WCF and C# multi-threading
- Experience with Git
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to juggle priorities and tasks with project follow through

Department Overview
The PremierOne CAD and Mobile team develops software for public safety organizations to manage emergency dispatch and reporting. The team is part of the Motorola Global Products organization which builds secure, scalable and reliable on-premise and cloud based products to serve public safety and enterprise markets throughout the world providing sophisticated and customized workflows and cost effective solutions to municipalities of all sizes.
Job Description
Work as a member of the Forward Deployed Engineering team whose mission is to ensure success for our public safety customers. The successful candidate will join a highly technical team eager to solve complex customer problems by replicating problem scenarios, performing hands-on troubleshooting, performing analysis of software and systems to determine root cause, and developing software solutions. Our team works closely with our customers, our customer support organization and the broader engineering team to improve our PremierOne CAD and Mobile product’s functionality and performance.
Basic Requirements
- BS in Computer Science (or related technical equivalent) and 3+ years of software development experience
