Job Summary
Room 8 Group is seeking a Middle Render Developer to join their Game Development team. This role involves pushing the boundaries of real-time rendering, working with cutting-edge technologies, modern graphics APIs, and latest-generation consoles on high-profile AAA/AA projects and proprietary engine development. The developer will implement, maintain, and debug rendering features, optimize systems for platforms like PS5 and Xbox, and collaborate with technical artists to enhance the rendering pipeline.
Must Have
- Experience with C++ and an interest in low-level graphics programming.
- Understanding of modern graphics APIs such as Vulkan, DirectX 11/12, Metal, or similar.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of rendering concepts: lighting, shadows, post-processing, shading, and scene management.
- Familiarity with GPU debugging and profiling tools (RenderDoc, PIX, Nsight) or willingness to learn them quickly.
- Understanding of performance considerations on CPU and GPU.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other engineers and technical artists.
- A passion for rendering technologies, real-time graphics, and game engine development.

Our Game Development team provides comprehensive co-dev and full-cycle dev solutions, across all platforms. We’ve helped make some of the biggest games of the past decade, like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and III, and we work with dozens of the world’s biggest publishers and developers.

Becoming part of Room 8 Group, you will:
- Implement, maintain, and debug rendering features in a proprietary game engine.
- Assist in adapting and optimizing rendering systems for console platforms such as PS5 and Xbox.
- Work with modern rendering techniques (TAA, FSR, temporal systems, dynamic resolution) and help integrate them across platforms.
- Profile and improve GPU performance under the supervision of more experienced team members.
- Collaborate with technical artists by supporting tools, workflows, and improvements to the rendering pipeline.
- Participate in debugging and improving visual fidelity and stability across different hardware platforms.
