Room 8 Group is seeking a Middle Render Developer with deep expertise in Unreal Engine and low-level graphics systems. This role involves working on advanced rendering pipelines, performance optimization, cross-platform development, and supporting graphical workflows for technical artists. Must Have
- Extensive experience in low-level graphics programming and debugging
- Strong proficiency with Unreal Engine 4/5, including advanced rendering pipelines
- Solid understanding of dynamic asset streaming and scalable world-building
- Proven experience supporting technical artists with graphical tools, shaders, and pipeline features
- Expertise in performance optimization for large-scale games across multiple platforms
- Proficiency in debugging tools (PIX, RenderDoc, Unreal Insights)
- Strong knowledge of GPU/CPU profiling, memory management, multithreaded rendering
- Familiarity with HLSL, shader compilation, and Unreal Rendering architecture
- Solid understanding of DX11/DX12/Vulkan
- Good communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

- Experience with next-gen consoles (PS5 / Xbox Series X|S)
- Knowledge of platform-specific APIs (AGC, GNMX)
- Experience with Unreal Engine 5 features: Nanite, Lumen, Virtual Shadow Maps
- Knowledge of custom engine modifications or source-build Unreal workflows
- Experience developing editor tools for technical artists

You will work on advanced rendering pipelines, performance optimization, cross-platform development, and support of graphical workflows for technical artists. This is a role for someone who thrives on complex problems, engine-level challenges, and pushing hardware to its limits.
Superpowers you have:
- Extensive experience in low-level graphics programming and debugging.
- Strong proficiency with modern game engines, especially Unreal Engine 4/5, including advanced rendering pipelines and optimization features.
- Solid understanding of dynamic asset streaming and scalable world-building systems.
- Proven experience supporting technical artists with graphical tools, shaders, and pipeline features.
- Expertise in performance optimization for large-scale games across multiple platforms.
- Proficiency in debugging tools and custom middleware (PIX, RenderDoc, Unreal Insights, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of GPU/CPU profiling, memory management, and multithreaded rendering tasks.

Becoming part of Room 8 Group, you will:
- Develop, optimize, and debug low-level graphics systems within Unreal Engine and custom rendering modules.
- Lead the porting of rendering systems from PC/DX9 to Xbox/DX12 and PS5/AGC.
- Collaborate closely with technical artists to provide tools, features, and support for graphical workflows.
- Solve complex rendering issues, including shader compilation, lighting, post-processing, and material performance.
- Ensure rendering stability and optimal framerates across PC and console platforms.
- Work with proprietary tools, middleware, and debugging environments to maintain and enhance visual fidelity.
- Contribute to improvements in asset streaming, LOD systems, and large-world scalability.
- Profile GPU/CPU performance and implement optimizations to push engine capabilities further.
