Job Description

Electronic Arts is seeking an ML Engineer II for their AdTech team within the Data & Insights group. This role involves developing and implementing machine learning models for prediction, classification, and optimization, analyzing large datasets, building real-time data pipelines, and collaborating with engineering and product teams to integrate models into production. The successful candidate will contribute to backend services and data infrastructure, focusing on creating engaging ad experiences and connecting relevant brands to players in a live service-driven gaming industry.
Good To Have:
  • Experience deploying ML models in production.
  • Knowledge of MLOps tools (MLflow, Airflow, etc.).
  • Experience with time-series modeling and anomaly detection.
  • Contributions to open-source or published research.
Must Have:

  • Build and maintain real-time data pipelines using tools like Apache Kafka, Spark Streaming, or Flink.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate models into production.
  • Conduct A/B testing and validate model performance.
  • Communicate findings through reports and presentations.
  • 4+ years of experience in data science or machine learning.
  • Proficient in Python and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow.
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling and hypothesis testing.
  • Experience with real-time data processing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

The AdTech team within EADP's Dynamic Experience group is on a journey to build industry-leading solutions that empower e2e Ads lifecycle management workflows and performant, scalable and available services.

As an ML Engineer II, you will report to the Director of Engineering and will contribute to the backend services and data infrastructure powering this platform.

Responsibilities:

  • You will develop and implement machine learning models for prediction, classification, and optimization.
  • You will analyze large datasets using statistical methods to extract insights.
  • You will build and maintain real-time data pipelines using tools like Apache Kafka, Spark Streaming, or Flink.
  • You will collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate models into production.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in data science or machine learning

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$100,000 - $139,500 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
