The Molding Process Technician 2 will start up, operate, and troubleshoot thermoplastic and LSR injection molding production equipment and processes. This role requires advanced technical skills in plastic and silicone transformation, specialized manufacturing processes, and root-cause troubleshooting of molding defects. The technician will apply Lean tools to improve processes, ensure adherence to EHS standards, and train other technicians while supporting Manufacturing Engineers/Managers with production and validation reports.
Must have:

  • Minimum 2 years as a Molding Technician.
  • Strong understanding of safety practices in manufacturing environments.
Good to have:
  • Plastic Process Technician certification.
  • Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel).
  • Basic English language skills.

Job Description

Molding ProcessTechnician 2 - Shift A & C

Start-Up, operate, and troubleshoot thermoplastic and LSR injection molding production equipment and processes to complete work orders. Position requires higher levels of plastic and silicone transformation technical skill sets and abilities to perform specialized manufacturing processes, including fairly advanced practices, procedures, concepts, or principles. Consistently apply Lean tools and techniques to identify and solve operational problems and measurably improve processes.

Your role:

  • Start up, clean molds, and operate thermoplastic and LSR injection molding machines, along with auxiliary equipment, to produce finished goods. Assist in mold setup, troubleshooting, and validation activities.
  • Apply advanced knowledge in plastic and silicone transformation, specialized manufacturing processes, and root-cause troubleshooting of molding defects.
  • Consistently use Lean tools and techniques to solve operational problems, improve processes, and support product/process renewal initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards while maintaining quality in all molding processes.
  • Train other Molding Process Technicians and provide daily support to Manufacturing Engineers/Managers through production reporting, validation reports, and technical assistance.

You're the right fit if:

  • High school (9th grade) required; Plastic Process Technician certification preferred; or a combination of relevant education and experience in medical companies to support self-training.
  • Minimum 2 years as a Molding Technician.
  • Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel) preferred, basic English desirable.
  • Strong understanding of safety practices in manufacturing environments.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.

Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This role is an onsite role. Shift A: Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 3:36 pm

Shift C: Sunday to Friday from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am
