Opportunity

Envoy’s Digital Environments team is looking for a Motion Designer. This creative will have a special focus on the creation of motion content across a diverse range of media canvases. We’re looking for a thinker/maker. An inspired blank-page ideator and problem-solver. A skilled craftsperson. An eager collaborator. This is a hybrid position out of our Chicago office.

What You Will Do

• Develop 2D and 3D motion graphics in a variety of artistic styles, from illustration to photo-real.
• Leverage 3D skills to visualize immersive environments for pitching and presentation.
• You will collaborate with producers, video editors, and creative technologists to ensure proper post-production workflows meet client expectations.
• Work on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while maintaining organization and meeting milestone deadlines.
• Proactively assess new animation tools and techniques to deliver the highest quality creative work.

Qualities and Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a production studio or digital agency environment
• Outstanding skill in graphic design (composition, typography, branding, image making) and translation to motion media, including 2D animation, 3D, and/or film
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Adobe AfterEffects, Cinema 4D, and emerging interactive design trends. 3D software is a big plus, as is compositing software such as Fusion.
• Deep understanding of each production phase and basic knowledge of XR, Immersive environments, multimedia technology, understanding game development workflow, 3D design, editing, and motion design.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; the ability to articulately and passionately present a creative point of view and design direction
• Experience producing digital work, animation, video/broadcast projects, and experiential executions with both in-house and external teams.
• Experience in creating motion media for physical spaces (e.g., architecture, installations, exhibits, events, retail).
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Audiovisual Production, Animation, Animation Multimedia, Video Graphics, Special Effects, or equivalent education and experience.

What We Offer

The salary range for this position is between $75,000 to $90,000, plus benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
