As an Operations Engineer within the Operations Command Center (OCC), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and efficiency of our operational infrastructure. This role combines technical execution with strategic problem management—automating manual processes, streamlining workflows, and proactively identifying and resolving systemic issues before they impact customers. You will also help identify and implement AI technologies that enhance operational efficiency, automate routine tasks, and improve issue detection and resolution.
Good To Have:
  • Experience in healthcare, SaaS, or systems configuration environments.
  • Experience working with or supporting AI-enabled tools for anomaly detection, automation, or predictive analytics.
Must Have:
  • Support and assist Operations Analysts with recurring technical tasks (e.g., sFTP setup, integration script execution, data updates).
  • Monitor system activity, logs, and dashboards to detect trends, anomalies, and emerging issues.
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) and lead post-incident reviews and business-impact analysis; translate findings into actionable remediation plans.
  • Maintain a problem register and provide regular reporting on issue status and business impact.
  • Identify and support the implementation of AI-driven tools and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and issue detection.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and long-term solutions that address root causes of failures and improve process reliability.
  • Identify and operationalize automation opportunities to reduce manual workload and improve consistency.
  • Develop and optimize monitoring tools and dashboards to improve signal detection, reduce alert noise, and enhance issue detection through continuous tuning.
  • Maintain and enhance documentation for technical processes, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical operations, systems engineering, DevOps, or problem management roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field—or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and SQL for automation and data operations.
  • Strong understanding of file transfer protocols (e.g., sFTP), APIs, and healthcare data formats (e.g., X12, HL7).
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus).
  • Familiarity with ticketing and content management platforms (e.g., JIRA, Salesforce, Confluence, SharePoint).
  • Deep understanding of ITIL-based problem management and root cause analysis frameworks (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone).
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking capabilities, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex operational issues.
