Job Description

The Oracle DBA will be responsible for installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle Database software. They will optimize database performance, design and implement backup and recovery strategies, and manage security measures. The DBA will also apply patches, configure high availability solutions, write and optimize SQL and PL/SQL queries, and plan and execute upgrades. Additionally, they will configure and manage Data Guard and GoldenGate, perform database cloning, plan for database capacity, diagnose and resolve issues, utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager, collaborate with teams, and maintain documentation. The role involves a wide range of responsibilities centered around ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of Oracle databases.

Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle Database software across various environments.
Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and monitoring. Design and implement robust backup and recovery strategies for Oracle databases.
Implement and manage security measures, including user access controls, encryption, and auditing.
Apply patches and updates to ensure Oracle databases are up to date and secure.
Configure and manage high availability solutions, such as Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC).
Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL and PL/SQL queries for efficient database operations.
Plan and execute upgrades to newer Oracle Database versions and migrate databases between servers.
Configure and manage Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery and data Implement and manage Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data replication.
Perform efficient database cloning and refreshing for testing and development purposes.
Monitor and plan for database capacity to accommodate future growth.
Diagnose and resolve complex database-related issues and incidents.
Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager for comprehensive database management.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate database-related updates.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for databases and processes.
