Job Details

At Flow, we’re redefining hospitality by blending design, community, and sustainability into every experience we create. We believe in crafting spaces that invite authentic connections, whether someone stays with us for two nights, two weeks, or two years. Our work spans hospitality, retail, food & beverage, and even our own publication, Flow Trip. We're not just about places to stay — we're about creating a sense of belonging, fostering innovation, and empowering those who share our vision for a more connected world.

About the Role:
Flow Grocer is a new neighborhood store that stocks thoughtful grocery and pantry items, unsprayed produce and flowers, local breads, and non toxic home goods. Our focus is local where possible, environment forward brands, and ‘better for you’ items to serve our Flow neighbors and community. We support emerging businesses in the food and beverage space who deserve an opportunity to shine, without the larger costs traditionally being placed on them to be in grocery stores. We observe a purchasing philosophy that ensures we have no artificial sweeteners, colors, flavors, hormones or hormone disrupters, or GMO ingredients.

As a Team Lead, you will greet customers, serve as a subject matter expert in all products to make recommendations, process and pack grocery orders, open and/or close the store, assist in the inventory and ordering and receiving of goods, and maintaining a beautiful and clean space within the store. We are looking for a customer focused Team Lead with a passion for food and environmental initiatives. A curiosity about the people we are serving will bring a strong sense of hospitality to our space.  The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for collaboration and creating community through food.

This is a full-time position that requires schedule flexibility with rotating shifts that fall between the hours of 7:00 am through 9:00 pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage and connect with customers, answering product inquiries and tailoring product recommendations to meet their needs
  • Open and close the store and assist in the ordering and receiving of goods
  • Process all orders in the POS system with speed and accuracy
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring stock is always replenished
  • Stock and face all areas of the store, including the produce display, the merchandisers and retail shelving
  • Pack orders for pickup, delivery and in-store shopping with care to maintain product quality during transport
  • Clean, sanitize and organize the counters and store to maintain a safe and beautiful environment for customers
  • Stay informed about trends and events in the wellness space, including Flow Events and programs
  • Embody and champion Flow’s brand values in all interactions with customers, vendors and colleagues
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance

Ideal Background:

  • Experience working in a grocery store, food & beverage, hospitality or retail with a focus on customer service and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Involvement with new store openings, systems implementation and developing culture is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and set priorities in a high-speed environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • A growth mindset with the ability to gain a deep knowledge of all products in the store
  • Understanding, knowledge, and ability to comply with safety, sanitation and food handling procedures

Benefits
• Comprehensive benefits package (Medical / Dental / Vision / Disability / Life)
• Paid time off and 13 paid holidays
• 401(k) retirement plan
• Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)
• Access to HSA-compatible plans
• Pre-tax commuter benefits
• Employee Assistance Program (EAP), free therapy through SpringHealth, acupuncture, and other wellness offerings
