Aptiv is seeking an experienced Payroll & HR Operations Specialist for its Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) business unit. This full-time role involves executing employee lifecycle processes, including hiring, onboarding, job changes, and terminations. The specialist will prepare and validate payroll data for an external provider, manage employee benefits like group life and health insurance, and support HR projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, or Business Administration, with at least 5 years of experience in payroll, compensation, or total rewards, preferably in a multinational setting. A strong understanding of Italian payroll regulations and compensation strategies is required, along with experience in job architecture, merit cycles, bonus structures, and incentive plan design. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HRIS systems like Zuchetti. We are looking for an experienced payroll Specialist to join our exciting team in a full-time job. This role will serve mainly the Electrical distribution systems busniess unit.

YOUR ROLE:

  • Execute all employee life cycle processes within HR Operation systems including hiring, on-boarding, job changes, transfers, promotions, leaves of absence, and terminations.
  • Prepare and validate payroll data, ensuring accuracy before submission to external payroll provider.
  • Partner with Payroll provider with documentation for HR processes and procedures
  • Manage registrations and changes to group life insurance, health insurance programs and other employee benefits
    Actively participate in regional and global HR projects

YOUR BACKGROUND:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 5 years experience in payroll, compensation, or total rewards, preferably in a multinational or matrix organization.

  • Solid understanding of payroll regulations and compensation strategies in Italy

  • Experience with job architecture frameworks, merit cycles, bonus structures, and incentive plan design.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Zuchetti )

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and cultures.

  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills.

  • Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken).
