Join a dynamic and innovative gaming company passionate about creating immersive gaming experiences. This full-time, in-office role involves processing semi-monthly payroll for over 100 domestic employees using a payroll processor platform, ensuring accurate calculations. Responsibilities include managing CRA remittances, T4s, and Records of Employment, processing monthly payroll for foreign contractors, reconciling payroll accounts, maintaining employee payroll records with confidentiality, collaborating with HR for data updates, resolving discrepancies, and supporting audits. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Accounting, Payroll Administration, or a related field, with at least 2 years of payroll experience.
Must have:
  • Process semi-monthly payroll for 100+ domestic employees
  • Manage CRA remittances, T4s, and ROEs
  • Process monthly payroll for 100+ foreign contractors
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and integrate with general ledger
  • Maintain employee payroll records confidentially
  • Collaborate with HR for employee data updates
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
  • Support audits with payroll documentation
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting/Payroll
  • 2+ years of payroll experience
  • Proficiency with payroll platforms
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
Good to have:

Key Responsibilities

  • Process semi-monthly payroll for over 100 domestic employees using a payroll processor platform, ensuring accurate calculations for salaries, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Manage CRA remittances, T4s, and Records of Employment (ROEs) in compliance with Canadian payroll regulations.
  • Process monthly payroll for over 100 foreign contractors using a freelance talent platform.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and integrate data with general ledger for financial reporting.
  • Maintain employee payroll records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy laws.
  • Collaborate with HR to update employee data (e.g., new hires, terminations, benefits).
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries promptly.
  • Support audits by providing payroll documentation and ensuring segregation of duties.


Requirements


  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Payroll Administration, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of payroll experience, preferably for medium sized businesses in Canada.
  • Proficiency with various payroll processing platforms and accounting software; experience with Quickbooks Online is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations and CRA requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
