Redhorse Corporation is seeking a Policy Analyst/Business Process Analyst to contribute to the development of a next-generation IT application. This role involves working directly with end-users of an existing web application and paper-based processes to design and implement a streamlined, automated solution. The analyst will collaborate with technology teams, ensuring compliance and best practices are integrated throughout the process. Key responsibilities include training end-users on data handling policies, translating non-technical requirements into technical specifications, and reviewing technology products for compliance. The goal is to improve the efficiency and security of government operations.
Must have:
  • Knowledge of policies for protected data (PII, HIPAA).
  • Streamline business workflows via automation.
  • Work with non-technical end-users.
  • Translate user requirements to technical specs.
  • Review tech products for data handling compliance.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience.
Good to have:
  • Experience in IT application UX design.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with data modeling.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira).

About the Role
Redhorse transforms how government uses data and technology. We are seeking a Policy Analyst / Business Process Analyst to play a key role in developing a next-generation IT application. You will work directly with end-users of an existing web application and paper-based processes, collaborating with technology teams to design and implement a streamlined, automated solution. Your expertise in policy and procedures will ensure compliance and best practices are integrated throughout the entire process. This is a high-impact role that directly improves the efficiency and security of government operations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a next-generation IT application to streamline and automate business workflows based on input from end users.
  • Train end-users on policy-based best practices related to protected data (PII, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Work with non-technical end-users to understand their current workflows and IT system usage.
  • Translate non-technical user requirements into technical specifications for technology engineering teams.
  • Review technology products for compliance with data handling policies and end-user functional requirements.
  • Maintain a policy-oriented knowledge base to support ongoing operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business workflow efficiency through automation.


Required Experience/Clearance
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures governing appropriate use of protected data like PII or HIPAA data.
  • Proven ability to streamline business workflows and improve efficiency through automation.
  • Experience working with non-technical end-users to understand their workflows and IT system usage.
  • Experience coordinating with technology engineering teams to translate non-technical requirements into technical specifications.
  • Experience reviewing technology products for compliance with data handling policies and end-user functional requirements.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.


Desired Experience
  • Past involvement in user experience (UX) design of IT applications.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with data modeling techniques.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira).
