The Senior Associate will be a key contact for all customer-related operational matters and ensure strict adherence to processes and controls within the global Post Trade Solutions Operations team. The role involves problem-solving and issue resolution while working across a multidisciplinary team to provide a high-quality customer experience. This person will also need to clearly articulate complex problems to those who may have a lesser understanding of the subject matter. Key responsibilities include managing service health, leading market-wide portfolio maintenance, working with technology support functions and business units, and engaging with external customers. The role offers significant personal growth potential.
Must have:
  • 3-5 years experience in middle-office or similar.
  • Experience supporting Interest Rate Derivate Products.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
  • Ability to understand end-to-end trade processes.
  • Risk mindset.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computational skills with MS Excel.
  • Good interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Proactive and driven.
  • Able to prioritize and work with timelines.
Good to have:
  • Basic knowledge of central clearing, LCH SwapClear

Senior Associate - Post Trade Solutions Operations

We are looking for a hardworking individual to become a Senior Associate within our global Post Trade Solutions Operations team. This role involves being a key contact for all customer related operational matters and ensuring strict adherence to processes and controls.

 

The candidate should enjoy problem solving and issue resolution, working across our multidisciplinary team to provide a high quality experience for our customers. This will be a key pillar to support the growth of the business, and so these traits will be highly valued with the team.

 

As the role requires communication both internally and externally with meaningful customers, strong communications skills are required, with the ability to clearly articulate complex problems to those who may have a lesser understanding of the subject matter.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the health and integrity of the service.
  • Lead market-wide portfolio maintenance and life-cycle events processed by clients.
  • Work with technology support functions and various business units (Sales, Product, PMO, COO).
  • Engage with external customers such as clients, trade venues, clearing houses, and others.

Team Role:

  • Serve as the single point of contact and first level of service for customers.
  • Ensure a positive experience for customers interacting with LSEG Post Trade.
  • Work closely with internal and external customers to resolve queries and issues.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience (3-5 years) within the middle-office or similar area of an investment bank, institutional investment manager, clearing organisation, or similar financial institution.
  • Practical experience supporting Interest Rate Derivate Products.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to understand technical complexity of the full end-to-end trade process, from execution, to confirmation, to clearing.
  • Risk mindset
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail.
  • Strong computational skills using applications such as MS Excel.
  • Good interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Proactive and driven.
  • Able to prioritize and work with agreed timelines.
  • Basic knowledge of central clearing, in particular, LCH SwapClear would be an advantage.
