Job Description: 

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled SoC Power and Performance Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will have opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and you will be responsible for optimizing the power efficiency and performance of our System-on-Chip (SoC) designs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our SoCs meet the highest standards of performance, power efficiency and identifying opportunities for improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Power and Performance Optimization: Lead efforts to optimize SoC power and performance through firmware tuning, workload analysis, and design modifications.
  • Silicon Validation: Conduct silicon validation and characterization for power and performance metrics across various Process, Voltage, and Temperature (PVT) corners.
  • Power Management: Ensure the validation and functionality of all power management features, including Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Scaling (DVFS), clock/power gating, and low-power modes.
  • Collaboration: Work with architects, design engineers, validation teams, and marketing to deliver industry-leading SoC solutions.
  • Debugging: Drive issue debugging and resolution for power or performance discrepancies.
  • Pre-Silicon Planning: Define detailed power and performance plans and methodologies in the pre-silicon phase.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

Candidate must possess either a Bachelors' degree with 7+ years of experience or Masters' degree with 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or a PhD with 2+ years of experience.

The candidate should have the corresponding years of experience in the following:

  • Post-silicon validation using test equipment computer systems and test stations.
  • Experience of analog electronics.
  • Experience of computer system architecture.
  • Experience using electronic lab test equipment.
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding and experience with OS's.
  • Knowledge of CPU architecture, benchmarks, power management, and memory sub-system validation.
  • Understanding of statistical data analysis and design of experiments.
  • Software development including experience with scripting languages such as Python, C and/or Perl.
  • Familiarity with industry benchmarks which aspects of performance they measure and competitive analysis from previous gen products

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:

$161,230.00-$227,620.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. * Job posting details (such as work model, location or time type) are subject to change.
