The Prep Cook prepares all food items for the line cooks, including hot, cold, and baked products. This role involves maintaining proper food temperatures, pre-preparing food according to the menu, and immediately informing the chef of any unavailable supplies. Responsibilities include maintaining clean and orderly food production areas, adhering to cleaning procedures, following health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, and understanding standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen practices. The Prep Cook collaborates with co-workers and performs additional duties as requested by the Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Manager.
