Principal DevOps Engineer

AppZen is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to enhance and maintain its high-availability, secure, and rapidly deployable infrastructure. This role involves designing and implementing technology solutions for mission-critical applications, ensuring continuous delivery in a microservice environment, and responding to urgent requests. The ideal candidate will have 7-9+ years of experience in a Cloud/SaaS company, focusing on security, performance, and monitoring.

Must Have

• Hands on Linux experience
• Expert level AWS experience
• Expert knowledge of micro services
• Experience with High Availability environments
• 4+ years experience with setting up and maintaining cloud environments
• Experience with database usage and management
• SQL and NoSQL experience

Good to Have

• Experience building and supporting a 5-9s environment
• Experience with a streaming infrastructure
• Experience with auto scalable micro services
• Experience with Terraform
• Familiarity with JIRA is a plus
• OWASP or CISSP experience
• Experience with ECS/Fargate

We are looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer to extend our existing infrastructure for high availability, rapid deployment, security and supportability. In this role, you will help design and implement technology solutions to host and support our mission critical applications. We must be available at all times and be alerted immediately when an issue occurs. We believe in building the right product, we believe in using best practices, we believe in everybody's input. You will help drive us to a continuously delivered micro service environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 7-9+ years of experience working at a Cloud/SaaS company.
