Job Description

We are seeking a Principal Engineer for Applications Development to join the MMC Corporate team at GIS in Noida/Gurgaon. This hybrid role requires working at least three days a week in the office. The successful candidate will work closely with Business Analysts, assist in application module design and development, prepare technical documentation, maintain source code, perform integration tests, and provide production support. This role involves participating in the product development process, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and staying updated with industry best practices.
Must have:
  • Understand business requirements by reviewing documentation
  • Assist in design and development of application modules
  • Prepare and maintain technical design documents
  • Provide and maintain source code
  • Perform integration tests and maintain evidence
  • Provide support for Quality Assurance and Regression test cycles
  • Provide technical support and knowledge transfer to AES/DBA teams
  • Provide production support
  • Participate in product development process
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with online business teams
  • Communicate & coordinate with stakeholders at offshore and onshore
  • Participate in improvising processes and assigned applications/projects
  • Stay up to date with industry standard best practices/techniques
  • Be able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate off-hours meetings or deployments
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Hands on experience on MEAN / MEAN stack, Python, Web Services, API Development, GitHub, SCM Tools
  • Experience with one or more of these – RMB Java, J2EE (preferred), Spring framework
  • Hands on and good technical and functional knowledge of Oracle technologies and applications, Oracle Utility application framework(OUAF), with preferable experience with Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB) application
  • Possess technical skills in SQL, PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripting
  • Demonstrated ability to work with distributed teams across multiple time-zones
  • Ability to clearly describe end-to-end business processes and the key integration points
  • Must be highly self-motivated with strong organizational skills, outstanding analytic skills and polished facilitation skills, stakeholder management
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Good communicator & presentation skills to senior stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proven history of successful problem solving with a sense of urgency
  • Ideal candidate will have at a minimum bachelor's in computer science degree
  • Very strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work with application owners and cross functional teams across the company
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
  • Have a “think out of the box” mentality and challenge the status quo

Job Details

We are seeking a talented individual to join our MMC Corporate team at GIS This role will be based in Noida/Gurgaon. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

  • Works closely with the Business Analysts to understand the business requirements by reviewing the business requirements documentation, functional specifications and use cases
  • Assist in design and development of application modules to satisfy business requirements
  • Prepares and maintains technical design documents, including technical specifications, migration instructions, migrations tickets, unit test scripts and results, etc. according to established industry standards and templates
  • Provides and maintains source code in accordance with agreed upon standards
  • Performs integration test for all the integrated applications and maintains evidence of test plans and test results.
  • Provides support for Quality Assurance and Regression test cycles.
  • Provide technical support and knowledge transfer to AES/DBA teams to make sure the application is deployed properly.
  • Provide production support
  • Participate in product development process, including designing, building, and testing.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with all online business teams and provide support wherever required.
  • Communicate & coordinate with stakeholders at offshore and onshore
