Scopely seeks a Principal Feature Designer for an unannounced cross-platform Strategy/MMO title. Responsibilities include owning and driving technical, creative, and strategic vision; leading new initiatives from concept to completion; crafting engaging player experiences; optimizing features based on data insights; and partnering with cross-functional teams to meet KPIs. The ideal candidate possesses 8+ years of experience in feature design or product management within the mobile gaming industry, a passion for game design, and a data-driven approach to creative problem-solving. This role involves shaping game structures for long-term player engagement and contributing to roadmap prioritization.
Must have:
- 8+ years Feature Design/Product Management experience
- Mobile game experience (pre & post-launch)
- Expertise in designing game features, systems, and economies
- Data-informed creative design
- Stakeholder management
- Understanding of progression systems and reward structures
Good to have:
- Monetization experience on live games
- System-driven player-owned narrative background
- Prototyping experience
- Knowledge of event-driven live operations

Scopely is looking for a Principal Feature Designer to join our unannounced project in Barcelona on a hybrid basis 3 days a week from the hub or remotely in any of our locations in the UK, Portugal and Ireland.

We are in the early stages of development on an ambitious, unannounced, cross-platform Strategy/MMO title, creating a team of talented and passionate game makers to join us on this exciting journey!
What You Will Do
Have expertise in owning and driving the technical, creative, and strategic visions for best-in-class mobile free-to-play games. As a Feature Owner, your responsibility is to lead new initiatives, shaping an engaging and rewarding player experience from concept through to completion. You will thrive on crafting and optimizing features that delight millions of players by improving qualitative and quantitative insights and experiences.
This includes:
- Be a driving force for smart feature design and slick innovation
- Be responsible for the successful delivery of features on a world-renowned title
- Partner with Product Management, Production, and creative teams to develop designs and optimizations that achieve KPI targets
- Craft game structures that support 5+ year player lifecycles
- Contribute to the prioritization of feature and optimization roadmaps, working closely with Game Leadership

- 8+ years of experience as a Feature Designer or Product Manager
- Experience working on games in pre and post-launch development environments
