Product Lead

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Product team in Sydney and are currently looking for an Platform Product Lead to join the team. 

As a Platform Product Lead, you are dedicated to delivering core capabilities that support all our brands.You will transform business solutions into a scalable, multi-brand platform, ensuring VGW’s services are robust, reusable, and strategically aligned with business goals.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Design and manage core platform capabilities to achieve business goals and product vision.
• Ensure platform services are reusable, robust, and scalable.
• Align platform capabilities with the overarching product vision, strategies, and business goals in collaboration with Strategic Product Management.
• Present options for feature depth versus engineering effort to SPMs for decision-making and communicate engineering delivery updates and risks.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, and Security teams for estimations and management of non-functional requirements.
• Select and manage platform vendor relationships, ensuring SLAs/SLOs are met and expenditures are within budget.
• Define and track success metrics to measure platform performance, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
• Lead and develop a high-performing platform product management team, providing direction, conducting regular 1:1 meetings, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

What you will bring to the role:

• 6+ years of related product management experience.
• Proven experience in Product Management, particularly within platform and technology environments.
• Experience in a scaled-up, high-growth, fast-paced environment with a strong customer focus.
• Strong technical acumen with the ability to effectively engage with Engineering teams and a deep understanding of technical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and timelines, proactively identifying risks before they become issues.
• Tertiary education in Product Management, Computer Science, or a related field is advantageous.
