Description
We are seeking a Product Manager with strong expertise in product management and a deep understanding of telecom technologies, network infrastructure, and related software solutions. Reporting directly to the Director of Product Management, you'll work with a strong R&D team to deliver a world-class experience. You'll have strong bones in the foundational aspects of Product Management, including understanding customer problems and use cases, writing concise and crisp requirements, and influencing engineering teams to deliver value-added functionality and products for our customers.
What You'll Do:
- Building strategy and roadmap for Telecom solutions within our products. Experience in the telecommunication industry, particularly in mobile networks, fixed wireless products, and broadband networks, to drive the product strategy. This includes identifying market opportunities, analyzing customer needs, and translating them into actionable product plans.
- Build and demonstrate a strong sense of customer intimacy, working backwards from customer problems and translating to well-understood use cases.
- Write concise and complete requirements, working cross-functionally with stakeholders for feedback and aligning with the engineering team(s) to ensure the asks are understood.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of market trends by technology (5G, 6G), by persona (network monitoring, customer care, marketing, security), and where the competition is both at and heading.
- Staying abreast of the market trends like AI/ML, edge computing, Open RAN, private 5G, and 6G development is crucial for strategic decision making and innovation.
- Drive vision, strategy, and roadmap across both internal stakeholders and interested parties, as well as externally with customers and channel partners.
- Help drive the release planning process from planning to release delivery.
- Be an evangelist for the Gigamon business and the larger Gigamon value proposition.
- Work and coordinate within a strong and large team spread across the globe, with focus points in California and India.
What we look for:
- 10+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on Telecom Solutions for 5G, 6G, Broadband networks
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Aha!, and Asana
- Well-rounded PLM experience, from launch to iteration to product End of Sale/Life/ Support.
- BS degree in a related field, MBA strongly preferred.
- Well-rounded Product Management skills, from working with customers to understanding pain points, translating these into well-written requirements, and articulating the needs both at a technical and business level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience and ability to work cross-functionally, with Engineering, Project Management, Marketing, and Technical Marketing/Product Marketing with a global team in multiple time zones.
