Job Description

We are on an exciting journey in the years to come where we will strengthen the core of what we do in Range. When really putting the product in the center, focusing on strengthening the IKEA brand and making the shopping trip for our customers smoother and more rewarding is crucial. We will continue sharing what we do and why, to create engagement and build curiosity and trust for the IKEA brand – both inside and outside the IKEA world.

We are looking for you who want to secure the future together with us, literally. The IKEA product range is designed to be functional, neat-looking, affordable, of good quality and sustainable. This is what we call democratic design. But if it’s not living up to safety and other regulatory standards, we wouldn’t be able to offer it to our customers. This is where you come in!

Right now, we are looking for a new Product Requirement Specialist

As a Product Requirement Specialist (PRS) at IKEA of Sweden you make sure that we have the prerequisites to make our products comply with global regulation and standards.

We are looking for a PRS for textiles to support the development and verification process with identification, documentation and interpretation of relevant national and international regulations and standards for textiles.

By building a network of stakeholders in external alliances and standardization organizations, you will influence relevant new and existing legislation, regulations, and standards, of course with a solid awareness of sustainability and circularity in mind. Internally you´ll work in close collaboration with different teams in product development and product engineering.

You have good knowledge of textile materials of course, and experience of working with the legal requirements and standards applicable to textile development and have a clear interest in sustainability and circularity. If you’re also confident in front of a larger audience, it’s even better!

In this role you will lead training and information distribution of product requirements for textile to the entire IKEA product development organization, which is a network of 100+ colleagues, all waiting for you to translate complex regulations into simple common language, so they can develop products that comply.

You know what you’re talking about when it comes to the ways in which legislation and standards of textiles are being developed and maintained, and how they are applied in product development.

It´s about having a lot of energy and experience in providing support to an organization regarding competence development activities and implementation of product requirements. Your English skills are very good, both in verbal and in written communication.

Eager to get going? You feel like this, don't you? Amazing, then we would like to hear from you!
