Job Summary
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution, and reconciliation of payroll, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and managing deductions. This role involves collaborating with HR and finance teams to maintain accurate records, resolving inquiries, processing W4s, direct deposits, and garnishments, and assisting employees with payroll and timecard questions, all while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Must Have
- Review computation of employee pay, manage deductions, and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of city, state, provincial, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to maintain accurate payroll records.
- Process W4 & direct deposit changes, garnishments, and other payroll-related processes.
- Assist managers and employees with questions related to payroll and timecards.
- Strong adherence to confidentiality.
- Associate's degree or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of Payroll Administrative experience.
Good to Have
- Experience with ADP payroll systems or similar payroll system.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Processing software.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel software.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong computer literacy.
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and tax forms.

Principle Responsibilities
- Reviews the computation of employee pay, manage deductions, and ensure compliance with tax regulations and associated deductions for accuracy.
- Attention to detail, strong computer literacy, and up-to-date knowledge of employment law and tax forms. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the city, state, provincial, local and federal legislation affecting payroll
- Collaboration with HR and finance teams to maintain accurate payroll records. Respond to and resolve any inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reporting.
- Process W4 & direct deposit changes as well as garnishments and other payroll-related processes.
- Assist managers and employees with questions related to payroll and timecards.
- Strong adherence to confidentiality.
Competencies

Education/Experience
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
