We are looking for a Field Service Technician for our local HighTech Service Team in Agrate B.za (Monza).

The role does not involve travel except for training or project occasions, from 10 to 25% in a year. Availability for shift work is required.

General Profile:

The ideal candidate has technical experience in maintenance and troubleshooting complex equipment in high-tech sectors. Installation and startup capability is a plus, while experience in the semiconductor industry, vacuum systems, or mechatronics is welcome.

Key Responsibilities

  • Applies all safety measures at all times
  • Works autonomously using established company procedures and practices.
  • Performs installation and startup of Applied industrial systems at the Client, the major Microchip producer in Agrate Brianza.
  • Executes all levels of preventive and corrective maintenance within the foreseen times and procedures.
  • Applies diagnostic and Troubleshooting strategies and procedures on Applied equipment installed at the client, through the analysis of data produced by the machinery, the understanding of the Production Process and Software.
  • Performs updates and retrofits on equipment.
  • Ensures to apply the correct procedures and checklists for both corrective and preventive maintenance
  • Understands and correctly uses technical, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic diagrams.
  • Understands and implements correct work methodologies and procedures according to company and client quality standards.
  • Anticipates and responds to equipment problems and escalations in a timely manner
  • Collaborates and communicates with company stakeholders
  • Participates in internal and client meetings for maintenance service management.
  • Is responsible for the performance of assigned systems, in defining and achieving objectives.
  • Keeps field management informed on client perception of system performance.
  • Takes the initiative to prevent and resolve client problems.
  • May occasionally initiate projects to reduce costs or increase uptime.
  • May work shifts depending on the assignment.
