Job Description

The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient and safe achievement of quality and production targets. This role involves communicating job expectations, managing staff performance, enforcing company policies, and participating in continuous improvement. Responsibilities include supervising production employees, coordinating with other shifts, supporting HR functions like hiring and disciplinary actions, conducting startup meetings, assigning work, monitoring progress, completing daily reports, ensuring proper use of equipment and safety gear, and collaborating with other teams to resolve issues.
Good To Have:
  • Trade school certification or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience in CNC or Fabrication environment preferred
  • 2+ years experience in supervisor role preferred
  • Experience in inspection techniques and use of measurement tools
Must Have:
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of production employees
  • Coordinate with other shift supervisors for shift handovers
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and disciplinary actions in partnership with HR
  • Hold startup meetings with staff to drive team alignment
  • Assign work, monitor progress, and adjust workflows to meet daily and weekly schedules
  • Complete daily production reports
  • Ensure staff is properly filling out job travelers and production reports
  • Ensure proper use of machines, tools, materials, and safety gear
  • Enforce safety policies and promote a safe work environment
  • Work with team to meet quality and production targets
  • Ensure compliance with quality control procedures and print specifications
  • Train, coach, and evaluate production employees to ensure skill development and adherence to procedures
  • Monitor individual and shift production metrics and take corrective actions as needed
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to resolve equipment or process issues
  • Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action
  • Maintain reputable and consistent approach when interacting with staff
  • Contribute to team effort when necessary to optimize production output
  • Effective communication skills
  • Conflict resolution and team leadership techniques
  • Performance review and coaching methodologies
  • Basic math and writing skills
  • Basic computer knowledge; Microsoft Office

Night Shift - Monday - Friday 10:00 pm - 6:00 am

Position Summary:

The production supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations on the production floor and communicates job expectations to staff to carry out quality and production targets efficiently and safely. The position manages staff performance and enforces company policy and procedures. Position is responsible for hiring qualified candidates and takes part in continuous improvement initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of production employees; coordinate with other shift supervisors for shift handovers

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Manufacturing Environment
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
  • Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time
  • Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer.
