Job Description

This Project Manager role at Bosch India involves leading projects related to Hand Tools, ensuring they meet cost, time, and quality objectives. Good To Have:

Must Have:
  • Make decisions within scope of Project Charter / the approved Project Management Plan
  • Responsibility for cost, time and quality of the project
  • Escalate decisions beyond the approved Project Management Plan to the respective owner
  • Determine qualification measures of project team members
  • Lead the project team and achieve project objectives
  • Establish the Project Management Plan based on the Project Charter
  • Maintain Project Documentation and provide transparency on ongoing project activities
  • Implement the Project Management Plan with the project team and resources
  • Appropriately apply all Project Management Knowledge Areas
  • Proactively manage the risks / uncertainties in the project context
  • Communicate with stakeholders in and externally
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or similar)
  • Strong technical background in industrial product development or manufacturing
  • Minimum 5-10 years of engineering/manufacturing experience
  • At least 2-5 years leading industrial product development or manufacturing projects

Job Description

  • Make decisions within scope of Project Charter / the approved Project Management Plan
  • Responsibility for cost, time and quality of the project in the most balanced way
  • Escalate decisions, which are needed beyond the approved Project Management Plan to the respective owner of the project, e.g., Product Segment Owner, Execution Owner,…
  • Determination of qualification measures of project team members
  • Lead the project team and the project; achieve project objectives, even if interests differ
  • Establish the Project Management Plan based on the Project Charter, integrating lessons learned from other projects
  • Maintain Project Documentation and provide transparency on ongoing project activities, like KPI status
  • Implement the Project Management Plan together with the project team and all other resources
  • Appropriately apply all Project Management Knowledge Areas, respecting all relevant regulations
  • Proactively manage the risks / uncertainties that matter in the project context
  • Communicates with stakeholders in and externally: prepares and aligns topics for decisions
  • If applicable, take over project from implementation release from different locations‘ product team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or similar)
  • Strong technical background in industrial product development or manufacturing: knowledge of processes, materials, tooling, production equipment.
  • Certification in project management (PMP or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of engineering/manufacturing experience including at least 2-5 years leading industrial product development or manufacturing projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, meeting scope & quality.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, cross-functional leadership, and business sense.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, cost-control and process improvement is a plus.
