Job Description

The QA/QC Engineer – Global Support Group (Incinerator Group) ensures all quality assurance and control processes for incinerator systems meet client and industry standards. Responsibilities include preparing inspection plans, managing documentation, coordinating inspections, and supporting ISO compliance and internal audits. This role involves close collaboration with clients, vendors, third-party inspection agencies, and internal teams to maintain high quality standards in design, production, and testing for incinerator projects.
Must have:
  • Prepare Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Inspection Procedures.
  • Develop and maintain Technical Documentation (TDC).
  • Maintain and organize records, including transmittals, approved drawings, ITPs, and procedures.
  • Track and manage document submission and receipt status.
  • Upload QA/QC documents to the client portal.
  • Coordinate inspection visits with clients and third-party inspection agencies (TPIA).
  • Prepare and send Inspection Notifications to clients/TPIAs.
  • Coordinate with ZIN surveyors and vendors for scheduling.
  • Manage miscellaneous inspection activities with TPIAs.
  • Prepare Manufacturing Record Book (MRB) Index and checklists.
  • Coordinate with TPIAs for MRB review and validation statements.
  • Review and compile vendor documents, verify with TPIAs/clients for submission.
  • Maintain records for MRB submission and receipt status.
  • Prepare and present monthly progress reports.
  • Prepare ISO documents, including Quality Manual, Quality Procedures, and formats.
  • Maintain department-wise ISO records.
  • Develop and execute Internal Audit Plans.
  • Track calibration records for instruments.
  • Conduct internal audits and address observations.
  • Oversee inspection visits for material testing at mechanical testing laboratories.
  • Assist in other tasks and quality-related activities as assigned by management.

This role includes preparing inspection plans, managing documentation, coordinating inspections, and supporting ISO compliance and internal audits. The position involves close collaboration with clients, vendors, third-party inspection agencies (TPIA), and internal teams to maintain the highest quality standards in the design, production, and testing processes for incinerator projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspection & Test Planning:
  • Prepare Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Inspection Procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain Technical Documentation (TDC) for all incinerator-related projects.
  • Documentation & Record Management:
  • Maintain and organize records, including transmittals, approved drawings, inspection & test plans, and procedures.
  • Track and manage document submission and receipt status to ensure timely approvals.
  • Upload QA/QC documents to the client portal for easy access and retrieval.
  • Inspection Visit Coordination:
  • Coordinate inspection visits with clients and third-party inspection agencies (TPIA).
  • Prepare and send Inspection Notifications to clients/TPIAs and coordinate with ZIN surveyors and vendors for scheduling.
  • Manage miscellaneous inspection activities in coordination with TPIAs.
  • Manufacturing Record Book (MRB):
  • Prepare MRB Index and checklists for MRB compilation.
  • Coordinate with TPIAs for MRB review and attainment of validation statements.
  • Review documents from vendors, compile them, and verify with TPIAs/clients for final submission in both hard and soft copies.
  • Maintain records for MRB submission and receipt status.
  • Monthly Progress Reporting:
  • Prepare and present monthly progress reports outlining key milestones, inspections, and project quality metrics.
  • ISO Documentation & Compliance:
  • Prepare ISO documents, including the Quality Manual, Quality Procedures, and formats.
  • Maintain department-wise ISO records, such as internal/external communications, stakeholder analysis, risk management, and change control.
  • Develop and execute Internal Audit Plans, including the preparation of Internal Audit Checklists.
  • Track calibration records for instruments and ensure timely calibration.
  • Conduct internal audits as part of the audit plan and address audit observations.
  • QC Inspection Activities:
  • Oversee inspection visits for material testing at mechanical testing laboratories, ensuring compliance with project and industry standards.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Assist in other tasks and quality-related activities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related field).
  • Proven experience in QA/QC engineering, preferably with incinerator or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and third-party inspection agencies.
  • Proficient in MS Office, document management systems, and QA/QC software.

Skills

  • Attention to detail with excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of mechanical testing, inspections, and validation processes.
